As we’re getting closer to releasing our marketplace, our focus has moved from theoretical cases into creating practical applications within the insurance world. This has required us to reorient ourselves to prioritise product development, business development and legal compliance.
Our current development focus is our Cyber Insurance distribution platform. Features in the developmental scope include the capacities to distribute cyber cover: creating enquiries; viewing and filtering enquiries; making offers. Through these processes, data will be captured seamlessly to form records that professionals can refer to. We are currently sourcing and talking to the service providers required to form a comprehensive marketplace beyond the insurance policy. The bordereaux and policy record will be written to the Ethereum blockchain – making the process much more simple and secure.
SIM V2 will be released on the 24th of September. The service includes business inquiry and provider search facilities, so companies and their employees seeking self-insurance providers, or partners in the industry, can easily find each other on the network.
Dominic Higham will be introducing SIM at the SIIA National Educational Conference & Expo in Austin, TX (booth 918). The event is the world’s largest focused exclusively on the self-insurance/captive insurance marketplace.
We have been shortlisted for the Insurance Post Digital and Insurtech Awards 2018!
The prestigious awards are now in their sixth year, a recognition of the shining stars in this sector of the insurance industry. We beat back stiff competition to join the finalists in the ‘Best InsurTech Start-up – Supplier’ category.
This signifies that we’ve made a noteworthy contribution to the UK general insurance market in our capacity as an InsurTech, and show signs of real potential for investors and customers.
We’re looking forward to the awards ceremony in London on the 23rd of November, where we’ll get to meet many other innovators in the digital insurance and InsurTech world.
